Dear Castro Parents:
I hope you are all as eager as I am for an outstanding year at Mariano Castro!
I am looking forward to meeting each of you and leading this wonderful school community into another successful school year. This year will be a year of focusing on the rigor of instruction and assessment, as well as healthy social-emotional skills. Providing this solid foundation for the students in their educational journey to college and career readiness is the core mission of Mariano Castro Elementary.
I encourage each and every one of you, in the Castro tradition, to participate at home and at school in your child’s education, whether it is sharing your talents inside the classroom, collaborating in PTA fundraising efforts, or representing our school in district meetings! When school and parents work together, we create an engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable and confident, stay focused on their goals, and ultimately, achieve success.
Communication is key to the partnership between school and families and I invite you to keep in touch with us about any ideas, questions, or concerns that may arise.
