How do I join?
It's easy! Fill out this form or pick up a membership form in the Castro School office or at a PTA meeting. Just fill it out and return it, along with your dues (or request for a scholarship) to the office or to any PTA Board member.
Why should I join the Castro PTA?
Parents and teachers working together to help improve a school is what the PTA is all about. Because families are so strong in this community, our PTA can be stronger if all of the families join together to work towards common goals.
Castro’s PTA serves the entire school. Our Castro PTA pays for all of the student’s field trips, sponsors a great menu of after school activities, and grants each classroom teacher hundreds of dollars to purchase the student materials public funding no longer pays for. Castro PTA is the sole source of money for new books for our Castro library. PTA sponsors the schools garden classroom, math nights, the Castro Science Fair, school welcome events, the 5th grade promotion ceremony, and much more.
By joining the PTA at Castro School, you are also automatically joining the California State and the National PTAs.
How much does PTA membership cost?
Membership for one year costs $10 for an individual. If the paying the membership fee is a financial hardship for your family, we have membership scholarships available. Don't let the membership dues keep YOU from becoming a member!
Thank you and we look forward to working together!
