Family Workshops
The Family Engagement Institute at Foothill College runs an ongoing series of free parent education workshops at Castro. These programs cover a wide range of subjects, from computer literacy to Kindergarten readiness and helping your children with homework to healthy eating.
Workshops are advertised through flyers and posters at the school, contact the office staff to learn more and register.
In the community
The Los Altos Mountain View PTA Council offers parent education speaker events throughout the school year. All events are free to attend; some ask for a reservation to predict attendance. Past topics have included bullying, student use of social media, college admissions and much more.
The Adult School is committed to serving adult learners who will gain the knowledge, skills, and proficiency necessary to achieve personal goals in employment, secondary education, and English language skills in order to become self-reliant and productive members of the community.
Offers free literacy and ESL programs, vocational training, and fee-supported personal growth courses at campuses in Mountain View and Los Altos. The MVLA Adult School is part of the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District. The Adult School's main campus is located at 333 Moffett Blvd. in Mountain View.
